So-net Entertainment Corporation (“So-net”) and Interactive Program Guide, Inc. (“IPG”), today renewed the EPG on their TV program site that supports the viewing-recording feature, “G-GUIDE TV Ohkoku”, to one that is easier to use and see. A campaign to commemorate the renewal has also been launched.

The renewed EPG design shows programs with consistent length according to time, and is easier for users to see. Setting colors according to genre is also now possible, allowing for user-original EPGs, and making searching and browsing for programs easier, as well as viewing and recording TV programs. Images are also now available on the top page and “Chumoku Bangumi” section, providing more detailed program descriptions.

To commemorate the renewal, a campaign that offers the chance to win a One-seg Bath TV and the most recent model of the Walkman, will be held.

“G-GUIDE.TV Ohkoku” is based on “SI (Official program data)”, provided by the broadcasters, and is a service that provides accurate TV program information.
