Interactive Program Guide Inc. ('IPG', based in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President: Keisuke Toji), and D2 Communications Inc. ('D2C', based in Minato-ku, President: Akihisa Fujita), which jointly provide the 'G-GUIDE MOBILE' service, launched a new 'G-GUIDE EPG' service for the new 'iMenu TV' service launched on April 14th by NTT DOCOMO. 'G-GUIDE EPG' is the web-version of G-GUIDE MOBILE, with various enhanced features and services.

'G-GUIDE MOBILE' has until now provided TV listings, search features of various TV content, an infrared light-based TV remote control function, One Seg-linked features and remote access features, as an application service.

The new 'G-GUIDE EPG for Web' service will be linked with the application service, and will also provide program details and search features, as well as introduce programs based on 'talent' (actor/cast) information, free of charge. In addition, the 'Mail Alert' service, which allows users to register keywords and receive mail alerts on relevant TV programs, as well as manage a list of programs of interest, will be provided for a monthly \210 charge.

IPG and D2C will continue to improve user satisfaction by developing and providing services that allow users to discover TV programs more conveniently, in a rapidly changing TV-viewing environment.

■G-GUIDE MOBILE Usage

The number of accumulative registered users for the G-GUIDE MOBILE service (since its launch in December, 2004 until March, 2010) has surpassed 39 million, and continues to achieve the highest number of users for a mobile phone application.

■About iMenu　TV

'iMenu TV' is the new service launched on April 14 by NTT DOCOMO for the iMenu service, based on the concept :'The TV guide that finds your 'I want' at your fingertips'. With this service users can easily access a wide range of information, from broadcaster recommendations, to latest TV updates.
