The TV EPG application, "G-GUIDE EPG for Smartphone" provided by Interactive Program Guide, Inc. and supported by Android 2.2 mobile phones, will be pre-installed on eight new summer 2011 smartphone models to be released by NTT DOCOMO on May 5th, 2011.

The "G-GUIDE EPG for Smartphone" service is designed for optimum use on smartphones, and the application will display TV listings of several broadcasters, in a design similar to TV listings in the newspaper. Both terrestrial and BS digital broadcast listings will be supported on the application. In addition to keyword and genre features, one-seg viewing and recording features are also offered.

IPG, through its "G-GUIDE EPG" services, maintains an environment that provides additional features in a timely manner in order to continue the optimal delivery of TV information, in a TV-viewing environment that is rapidly changing, and also where internet services surrounding TV broadcast are expanding. We continue to work towards increasing user-satisfaction of services in constantly making improvements based on the needs of our users, and contribute to the expansion of TV viewing.

The TV EPG application for mobile phones, "G-GUIDE EPG for Smartphone," is a G-GUIDE MOBILE service. G-GUIDE products are deployed and promoted in Japan by Rovi Corporation and IPG.
